I finally decided to go to the “London steak heaven” Hawksmoor, where we were welcomed by a very
very friendly and knowledgeable staff .
We went for the Hawksmoor Burger – I choose to have it topped with the delicious Ogleshield cheese, a creamy perfectly coating for the patty cheese .
The burger here was simply perfect.
The meat comes form British Longhorn cattle and is prepared with the addition of small nuggets of bone marrow. The result is fantastic, very well seasoned, with a deep beefy taste . Perfectly cooked medium rare, served on a soft brioche.
Same bun also used in the Bread Street Kitchen and the The Admiral Codrington. The origin is from the ubiquitous Miller’s Bakery in Wimbledon . This brioche bun has been proved that can soak up all the flavors that are under it.
The other toppings were a juicy and crispy bacon, a slice of tomato, and underneath rested a couple of leaves of lettuce, some rings of raw red onion, sliced pickles and mustard mayo sauce.
The side dish were the triple cooked chips, crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, they were served with little old fashioned bottles of homemade ketchup
It is probably the best burger I’ve eaten in London.
The balance of ingredients was perfectly assembled.
